The Harry Potter movies, the series that spawned them, have been in the public eye since the start of the last decade.
As the popularity of the franchise has grown, fans have come to expect that every Harry Potter movie will feature a certain character, and fans have responded with varying levels of excitement and anticipation.
However, when the first film was released in 2009, fans were very surprised to see the first Harry Potter story, “The Sorcerer’s Stone,” being cut short due to production problems.
A sequel, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” was released the following year, and the film series continued through the next three films, which all starred the same character and featured the same magical creatures.
The most recent installment, “Pottermore,” followed in 2013 and introduced the new Harry Potter character, Hermione Granger.
But there’s still a question as to whether fans are really ready to see a third Harry Potter film.
While Harry Potter fans have long awaited the sequel, there have been some concerns about the sequel’s release date.
It’s now been revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures, the studio behind the film franchises, will be releasing the next film in the series in 2019, instead of the original 2019.
That announcement has raised some concerns from fans and made some of them feel very pessimistic about the franchise.
“It is my biggest fear,” wrote Harry Potter fan and Pottermore contributor “Hannibal” on Reddit.
“I’m not ready to have the fourth film, let alone see the fourth movie in 2019.
I have a few theories, but I’m not going to go into too much detail right now, and I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who feel the same way.”
While some have expressed a desire to see Harry Potter 3 and the upcoming film, other fans are concerned that the new films may not be up to par with the first two films.
“Potters 3 and 4 are both great films.
But it feels like there was a lot of filler and no real story,” wrote user “Lazy_Dont_Know” on the Pottermore subreddit.
“So I’m curious what will happen to Pottermore and what will come next?”
Many Pottermore posters also expressed frustration with the news.
“This was supposed to be the first time a film series was being released after all this time.
Now we have another film that isn’t up to snuff,” wrote fan “Avenger_Tyrant” on Pottermore.
“We’re getting the worst of both worlds, and this will only hurt the Potter series.
And it won’t even be a bad sequel!”
Harry Potter and Harry Potter: The Order of the Phoenix, which stars Daniel Radcliffe and will hit theaters on May 23, 2019, is set to be released in 2018.
